Unless you’ve been living under a rock at Dennis Pines and Dennis Highlands golf course, you’re most likely aware that many members were less than satisfied with the actions - or non-actions - of our now-dismissed head golf professional.
Our local paper picked up the story last week, though a little after the fact. The Pines and the Highlands have more than survived the situation. In fact, both courses are in fabulous condition and offer a lot of good golf this summer - aside from those painful 5 hour and 20 minute rounds a lot of us suffered over the July 4th holiday weekend.
The very best golfers I know play with this thought in mind: if you hit one bad shot, make the next one a good one.
That’s our plan for our golf courses. Time marches on. We’ve played through the worst of it. We’re lucky to enjoy two of the best municipal golf courses to be found anywhere. It’s time to look forward, not backward.
Advance the ball. Game on!
