I am thankful for many, many things in my life but, as always, this blog is about golf.
The top ten (golf) things I am thankful for:
- That I am blessed with the time and opportunity to play this most intriguing of games and still find a way to pay my bills.
- Good health and fitness, enough to walk and carry my clubs when I golf (albeit it’s golf, not a triathlon)
- Access to an amazing PGA teaching professional (when he can squeeze me in for a lesson)
- Living within a community of golfers who truly care about the game
- A club maker I can trust to sell me what I need and is good for my game, not just good for his cash register
- Membership to a golf course that has a reputation as a really, really great track (along with a greenkeeper who is a magician)
- A husband who understands why the housework can wait while I (we) go golfing
- Good friends who remember me even though I never call them for six months at a time, because I play golf and they don’t
- A killer drive (when it’s working)
- The patience to still love the game (when it’s not working)
