If you haven’t read Bob Rotella’s Golf is Not a Game of Perfect than before your next round of competative golf, you might want to give it a run through.
Some of the best words of advice I received this year came from a couple of plus-1 or better handicappers; miss it in the right spot. Or, I suppose translating this to my ability, in the lesser of two (or more) evil spots. How often do you think a professional golfer feels he or she played a prefect round? If even the likes of Ben Hogan felt he played far short of perfection, how can an amateur golfer expect to execute a flawless game? But isn’t that the challange? Aren’t we always chasing the holy grail, be it breaking par, 80, 90 or even 100? Part of the beauty of the game of golf is, that for each of us on our own level, we are all fighting the same demons.
