Golf Fore the Good

My mother was sweet enough to think of me when she saw a book on golf at her local thrift store. As a non-golfer she picked it up because she thought it was cute. Several caricatures of golfers embellished the cover. “I think it’s a joke book” she said over the phone.

Nope, no joke. It turns out the book is an official version of Decisions on the Rules of Golf. Seems the USGA has since thought better of their choice of cover art; the newest version has scrapped the cartoonish look that came across as bathroom reading and now appears to be a serious publication.

We all know the rules aren’t a great read. If you can find a publication of Rules of Golf“>that simplifies them and makes them a bit easier to understand, one you will actually read, who really cares what is on the cover?
