Remember Dakota Dowd, the young Floridian wonder kid who was granted a sponsors exemption to play in the LPGA tournament at the Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open last spring? Her performance there was the culmination of her mother’s dream to see her daughter play in an LPGA event even as she continues to fight her own battle against breast cancer. Dakota has recently picked up her sticks to compete again this month. Check out her game next week in the Christmas Classic at Innisbrook December 18-20 and the Orange Bowl tournament December 26-30 in Miami. I wish her the best and that her play will match the amazing spirit that she and her family exhibit.
